Passover Russian Dessert Recipe


Ingredients: 125 g flour, 60 g sugar, 40 g butter or margarine 2 eggs, 2 tablespoon thick cream, 8 g of yeast, rum (or vodka with rum flavoring), powdered sugar

Dissolve the yeast in the cream. Quickly Knead the dough from all the ingredients. Put the dough in a greased and sprinkled with flour form and leave it for 30 minutes to rise. Then put the form in a preheated at 200 degrees oven and bake for 30 minutes.

Passover Czech Dessert Recipe



Ingredients 4 egg yolks 2 cups oil 100g margarine 1 vanilla essence sugar 120g sugar 800g flour, 8 g yeast, a cup of milk, rum, raisins

Melt the sugar in milk and warm.
Whisk egg yolks, grate the butter, add the vanilla, flour.
Stir well and leave to rise
After you combine the ingredients, Stir well, add the raisins dipped in rum. Knead a smooth dough and leave to rise.
Before baking, brush with egg yolk and cover the baking paper.
Bake in a deeper pot at 200 ° C for about an hour. Optionally coat them with powdered sugar.


Polish Easter/Passover Dessert Recipe



Ingredients: 350 g flour 1/2 tsp salt, 25 g sugar, 1 tsp dry yeast, 115 g soft butter, 150 ml of warm milk, 4 egg yolks, 115 g raisins, 50 g cacao, orange rind of 1 (finely grated), 4 tablespoons transparent warmed honey

Sift flour, salt and sugar in a large bowl. Add the yeast and make a well in the center. Add butter, milk, egg yolks, cacao, raisins and orange peel. Knead the dough. Place it on a surface covered with flour and knead for 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Put the dough in the form of capacity 1.25 kg. Cover with foil, oiled, and keep warm for 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 190 degrees and place the cake to bake for 45-50 minutes (try if it is done with a wooden skewer).

Allow the cake to cool in the form of 5 minutes, then finish it on the grill and brush with warm honey. When cool cut it and serve it with butter.
